Through Partners in Education Ethiopia (PIEE), who are on the ground in Ethiopia,
we surveyed the local Jema Nigus Primary School for the 2022/23 Academic Year.
To, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Sarah eagerly answered, ‘Teacher!’. We deeply believed that she would someday fulfill that dream. To keep her dream alive, we established this organization named after her, the Sarah Arebu Tahir Foundation.
We seek to support kids who have limited to no access to education, food, clean water, and other items to help them succeed. In rural Ethiopia, students walk to class without shoes on rough roads, and sadly, have little to no water to drink when thirsty. School, for them, can be as bare as sitting under a tree with a teacher.
Under this organization, her dreams will be fulfilled by providing clean water, clothing and school supplies. These are our first priorities in supporting students and teachers . In the long run, this foundation aims to build classrooms, fill libraries and establish schools. By doing so, Sarah Arebu Tahir foundation will fulfill Sarah’s lifelong dream.
We believe children should look forward to having the opportunity to expand their world. The school we plan to build will assist rural students learn while using the tools around them to create livelihoods.
This effort requires investment and care from people like you, who might be too far to provide that service in person. With your help, we will build a school, deliver textbooks and technology, and empower students in and outside of the classroom.
Every dollar you donate will go to the development of schools. Donating one-time will get us to the goal of building the school. While monthly commitments will further support the school after its built.
